About Us
Bucks MNVP is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to listening to and representing birthing individuals and their families. We work collaboratively to improve and develop maternity and neonatal services across the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust area.
Our wider membership includes local parents, birth workers such as antenatal educators and doulas, NHS staff including midwives, doctors, and health visitors, as well as those who commission maternity services.
We regularly gather feedback from across the community to identify common themes and experiences in maternity and neonatal care. This insight is shared with our wider group to help review, shape, and continuously improve local services.

At Bucks Maternity & Neonatal Voices, we:

Gather feedback from families across the area through various channels, including our online survey and by attending community groups and events

‘Walk the patch’ on the maternity ward and birth centre to hear firsthand experiences

Support the implementation of the Better Births initiative

Collaborate closely with staff to co-produce improvements and changes to services

Offer ‘critical friendship’ and accountability within the Trust and the Local Maternity System

Represent your voices at local and regional events to raise awareness and influence decision-making

Co-produce development days with the local birth community
We take pride in our long history of strong collaboration between staff, families, and volunteers, and we look forward to building on these partnerships in the months and years ahead.
